Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about upgrading your kitchen ventilation.
What is the recommended height for installing my range hood?
For optimal performance and safety, we recommend installing your hood between 28 and 36 inches above your cooktop. Always check your specific model's manual for exact requirements.
How do I choose the right CFM for my range hood?
A general rule is to have 100 CFM for every 10,000 BTUs of your stove's total output. If you cook frequently with high heat or oils, we recommend choosing a model with at least 600-900 CFM.
What is your return policy?
We offer a 30-day return policy for unused products in their original packaging. Please note that return shipping costs and a restocking fee may apply.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes, Proline Range Hoods offers free ground shipping on all orders delivered within the contiguous United States.
What kind of warranty comes with my purchase?
Most of our range hoods come with a 3-year limited parts warranty. This covers the motor and electrical components against manufacturing defects.
What is the difference between ducted and ductless range hoods?
Ducted hoods vent air outside your home, providing the best ventilation. Ductless hoods use charcoal filters to clean the air and recirculate it back into the kitchen, which is ideal for apartments or spaces where ducting isn't possible.
